In brightest day, in darkest night...

Even as MLE is frantically trying to handle her intense workload, my work place is rapidly running out of any work to do. We were still good this past night, but it appears as though we are already about to start doing our work for next week, which is not a good sign so far as actually working a full night each night goes. Still, yay for shorter (if poorer paying) work weeks!

On another note, I have one or two days to get one of my co-workers a birthday present, and I'm not sure what to get him. I was leaning towards getting him booze, since at the best of times he enjoys drinking, and his four year relationship is in its final death throes right now, so this doesn't really qualify as the best of times. However, that seems like a somewhat lazy gift, so I'm throwing this one up to the group for further suggestions, or possibly for suggestions of what kind of booze to get. Hop to it, people.

So what did you end up getting him? It's hard to give suggestions when we have no idea who the person is. I mean, he might like wearing Hawaiian shirts or he might like grandma porn. I'm surprised you didn't want to get him a movie from your "interesting" taste!

I would have gotten him a movie, since that's generally my default gift type, but he has a pretty long list of movies he already owns that he's yet to see, so I went with an overpriced bottle of Captain Morgan. Though if I had had the presence of mind to think of grandma porn I totally would have gotten it for him.

Was it the spiced rum? Oh did you wear a pirate shirt as you handed him the bottle? Because if you did, that would have been awesome.

I'm a fan of Salior Jerry Rum, myself, but yah, Morgan goes well w/ lots o' stuff. If you didn't sport the pirate outfit, at least wear the patch and give him a good pirate snear. =)
