2 is not better than 1?

Just the other day, I remembered something that I BSed about years ago.

The scenario started with someone who had a bloody nose. Quite normal, after all, we all get a bloody nose every now and then, in one of the holes. Well within minutes, this person started having the blood come out of both nostrils at the same time. I jokingly (but in a serious tone) explained to them that they were going to die - that if one gets a bloody nose in both holes at the same time, it's deadly serious. I never thought they would believe me, but they did for a bit, and once again, I felt horrible and told them that they just might make it to see the next day.
